UE MINI BOOM App Reviews

I think Im learning that there are different product. The ue mini boom box and ue mobile boombox. Thought I dont get whats the difference, and if the mobile boombox (which I have) isnt compatible with this app then please let me know. If they should both work the same way then Im having trouble with the double ups. Idk if its an ios thing that the app doesnt support ios7 or I have the wrong product. Please I love the speakers but I was hoping the double up would work and hope someone can provide me with the info I need or beg you to update the app or fix it.

I bought one ue mini boom and loved it. So I bought another to pair with the first. Well, the pairing does not work, with or without the app, following their instructions faithfully. Indeed, the app is a useless waste of time and I wasted my money on the second mini boom. Update: I hoped in vain that an update would address the problems I experienced. No luck. I cannot reliably pair my two mini booms. I wish the folks responsible for this app would pay attention and correct the dysfunction. In the meantime, I advise that you avoid this product.

My iPhone connects to the mini boom but the app doesnt recognize it. Pretty disappointed, I shouldve got a Beats Pill.

This app will not sync with my mini boom and now this app will not let me uninstall!!! Very frustrating!!! You get 0 stars even though I had to give this app 1 to send!

I bought two of these bad boys!!! One for me and one for my fiancé. hh Gregg has them on sale for 50 bucks a pop. ANYWAY I bought two because I wanted to link them. Turns out your app doesnt recognize that my iPhone 5 is connected to BOTH devices! Phone is doing its job... ue mini boom is not! Please fix this ASAP!! Thanks

Im surprised by the lukewarm reviews. I just purchased my ue to use with my iPhone/ iTunes. Works great. I had it sinked before I got home and was using it it in my car. Quality of sound is impressive and the connectivity through the Bluetooth is flawless. I wish Id bought two.

Does not work with mobile boombox only recognizes mini boom. Cmon guys same product just different size please make this work.

You guys are ridiculous with these reviews! One of the major difference between UE boom mini and mini boombox is the app feature (same as UE Boom). You cant rate low due to your unrealistic expectations! Thats like comparing iphone 4 to iphone 5 with the ios7 update; you just simply need to UPGRADE!

I used to love this speaker until I upgraded my phone to a 5S and my iPad to iPad Air with the latest OS - and now my devices dont even recognize this speaker via Bluetooth (with or without the app). Meanwhile everything else works fine including other speakers. What a dissapointment!

There are so many negative reviews and Logitech doesnt do anything. I thought it was my phone, went as far to set it up as a new device to see if that was the problem, nope, the app is broken and should be pulled. Logitech, when will you fix this? It wont see any speaker, FIX THE PROBLEM!

You probably have the alternate product called the Mobile boom box instead of Mini Boom. They look identical! I just realized that I have had the wrong one after 7 months. Never tried the app. I wont knock the app here, but Logitec or UE deserves zero stars for marketing. The names are stupidly similar and there is no model number or any identifying feature. Their website is useless too. I research everything and still this got by me. I feel duped.

Opened brand new Mini Booms. Paired with 1st speaker. Alert popped up to take me to AppStore to get app and use 2. Downloaded app. Started app and it told me to turn on 2nd speaker and press Bluetooth twice. Selected "stereo" mode. Music plate and sounds GREAT! Easiest setup of any product I have purchased...ever! If not this easy, your using the old version of speakers or something else wacky. Great speakers and great app make great experience!

Make a "mobile boombox" app or fix these apps to recognize the "mobile boombox". Great speakers just wished your apps would work.

So I download the app, connect my mini boom to my iPhone and the app doesnt see it. Music is playing from my phone thru the bluetooth speaker and the app still doesnt see it. So, the speaker works fine without the app and the app doesnt work at all. Added: Now I find UE actually has two identical looking products, the mobile and the mini boom. I have a mobile boom so Im SOL on the app. I dont get UEs product development. The had the Squeezebox which was a good product then they bring out the identical looking Smart Radio with inferior software. The upgrade was really a downgrade. The Mobile and the Mini are basically the same product which is confusing at best.

All connected and playing music through bluetooth but for some reason the app will not connect. Tried a number of tricks but nothing. Looks like this is a common feature.

I bought a pair of UE Mini Booms today. After much trial and error, I have now had success using them in 2x "doubled up" mode on all my devices - both my iPhone 4S & iPad 3 with this app, as well as my iPod Nano and my Windows 8 PC without the app. At first I could not figure out how see them in the app, so I could double them up. The directions provided did not work, as far as I could tell. I could tell from reviews that some people had success, but others were complaining the app was broken. I found that I first had to connect to them individually in iPhones Bluetooth Settings. Then I had to relaunch the UE app before I was in business and could double them up just fine. The directions I read made it sound like you could find them and connect directly thru the app without having to go into the devices Bluetooth settings, but this was not true for me. Although sound drops out in "stereo" mode, it is fine in "double" mode. However Im not sure whether this is an issue of the app, or rather specific to the device design itself??? (When doubling up without the app, it defaults to non-stereo "double" mode). I do think there are several reviewers that are trying to pair the wrong model of UE speakers. This app requires that BOTH speakers be "mini boom". It wont work if one (or both) are not the "mini" version.

Like many many others, cannot get the App on iPhone 5S to connect to Mini Boom. Boo Logitech for this lame, out-of-date App.

Works great so far with Iphone 5!

Ran update with Mini connected to laptop so I could use with it. Now mini and laptop have v1.2.35 while app on iPhone5 is still v1.1.2 with no way to update. Thus iPhone no longer recognizing it. Come on team!

I have 7 UE Mini boom speakers, please update the app so I can connect more than 2 with Bluetooth. Thank you.
